PaceSetter provides students in the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication with an ever-expanding, online library of video tutorials covering software, gear and creative concepts they will use in many of their courses and will continue to use as media professionals.
Developed specifically for Gaylord College students, the PaceSetter Web site and its video tutorials let students know what software they should learn and what skills sets they should master to do well in their classes and prepare themselves for internships and full-time jobs.
Thanks to PaceSetter, Gaylord College students no longer have to subscribe to expensive software training Web sites or buy training books. They no longer have to struggle for weeks figuring out how to use a particular software's interface and tools or decipher its help function's explanations. They no longer have to surf the Web for hours looking for tips or instruction on how to execute a creative idea.
With PaceSetter, students now have a creative expert on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week who knows what software skills Gaylord College students need and will teach them those skills at the pace they set.
PaceSetter is currently organized into two sections: Essentials and Courses.
The Essentials tutorial series introduces students to software and gear media professionals use every day and provides them with the basic skills they'll need to start working them.
In the Courses section of PaceSetter, students will find video tutorials that provide instruction on tasks and skill sets they will use in specific Gaylord College courses.
To start using PaceSetter, select either Essentials or Courses from the menu above.
